Thomas Scott Adams – Filmmaker / Production Strategist
Thomas Scott Adams is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and production strategist based in Seattle whose work explores fear, grief, and the possibility of change. His current focus is in redemption horror, a distinctive approach that embraces the conventions of horror while placing equal weight on conscience, free will, and the choice to seek hope. His stories ask what happens when horror is not only about what destroys us but also about what might save us.
Thomas is the creator of The Ragged Method, a production system that uses AI for operational tasks while keeping all creative authority human. The method proved out on Beneath the Same Sky (2025), a 4Culture-funded drama that went from receiving funding to festival submission in 17 days, finishing $3,000 under budget. The film has been selected for international festivals across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Before stepping fully into film, Thomas spent over fifteen years leading creative operations for Netflix, Disney, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and other Fortune 500 companies. At Unify Consulting, he built a creative services practice from 3 to 30 consultants generating $30M+ in revenue. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and three Adobe Certified Expert certifications. He studied film at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, the School of Visual Arts in New York, Vancouver Film School, and the London Film School. He has taught AI and marketing at Northwestern University.
His current slate includes Cemetery Hill (2026, fiscally sponsored by Northwest Film Forum), a period folk-horror short set in 1897 Pacific Northwest, and The Reverend's Walk (2027, in development). He also offers production consulting and executive producing services for independent filmmakers through The Ragged Method.
